ABSTRACT
O diagnóstico dos tumores estromais gastrointestinais (GIST) do intestino delgado continua sendo um desafio. Podem se apresentar clinicamente de diferentes formas, sendo a mais comum a hemorragia digestiva de origem obscura. Atualmente dispomos da cápsula endoscópica como método auxiliar de diagnóstico das doenças do intestino delgado, tendo como principal indicação a pesquisa da origem do sangramento do intestino delgado na hemorragia digestiva (principalmente de origem obscura). Relatamos um caso de hemorragia digestiva cujo diagnóstico foi de GIST de jejuno e destacamos a contribuição da cápsula endoscópica para elucidação diagnóstica.
The diagnosis of gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) of the small intestine remains a challenge. It might present clinically in different forms, the most common being gastrointestinal bleeding of obscure origin. Currently available in capsule endoscopy as an auxiliary method for diagnosing diseases of the small intestine, with the primary indication surveying the site of bleeding in the small bowel gastrointestinal bleeding of obscure origin. We reported a case of gastrointestinal bleeding which was diagnosed GIST of the jejunum, and highlighted the contribution of capsule endoscopy elucidate the diagnosis.
